The Servants of God – The Martyrs of Kandhamal: Honoring Their Sacrifice The Archdiocese is proud to announce the official recognition of the Servants of God – The Martyrs of Kandhamal. This recognition honors the profound faith and ultimate sacrifice of those who lost their lives during the Kandhamal violence. These martyrs’ unwavering devotion to Christ and their courage in the face of persecution inspire us to strengthen our own faith and commitment to justice and peace. Join us as we commemorate their legacy and pray for their beatification. The celebration of faith as Servants of God is going to be held in the diocese for the Martyrs of Kandhamal to remember the scarifies and for sending the missionaries who spread the Good News and planted the seed of faith throughout our Diocese. PRAYER FOR THE GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR is Merciful Father, we praise you for your infinite goodness towards the Church in Odisha, particularly for the gift of the Archdiocese of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar. You have blessed our Archdiocese with abundant human, material, natural, and spiritual resources. We thank you for sending the missionaries who spread the Good News and planted the seed of faith throughout our Diocese. As we rejoice at this Golden Jubilee, we gratefully recall your faithfulness and love for us, especially during times when our faith was tested, and we experienced your abiding presence among us. We give thanks for benefactors and well-wishers who have generously supported and been part of this journey, contributing to the growth and strength of our Archdiocese. In this year of jubilee, Almighty God, send us a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit so that we may deepen our faith, practice generosity, and develop compassion for one another.
